Surveys & Enhancements

Wild Service are undertaking a preliminary ecological appraisal, bat activity surveys and breeding bird surveys of the canal for Gloucestershire County Council, which will inform a range of ecological enhancements. These will be used to inform a funding application for infrastructure improvements to the Gloucester-Sharpness Canal.

Enhancements will target priority species known to use this green corridor leading into the centre of Gloucester, but will also be designed to provide broader habitat improvements for all local wildlife.
