Tirley Court, Gloucestershire – PEA and BNG
W ild Service undertook a PEA and BNG assessment for Tirley Court, a site totalling approximately 200ha, and situated within Gloucestershire’s Nature Recovery Network. The PEA comprised of a Phase 1 Habitat Survey, desk study and protected species survey assessment for the site. The Phase 1 habitat survey information relating to the parcels of surveyed land was translated in the UKHabs classifications to calculate biodiversity net gain using the Biodiversity Metric 3.1 Assessment criteria. The results of the PEA and BNG were used to inform habitat restoration/rewilding plans for the site. The project has benefited from collaboration with The Gloucestershire Nature + Climate Fund (GNCF), a non-profit organisation established to support Landowners, Developers and Local Planning Authorities through the biodiversity net gain process.
