Hard Landscaping
Project
Design input and construction of a new entrance space, café area and associated infrastructure at GWT HQ, Conservation Centre.
Aim
To interpret the landscape designers drawings to construct a new entrance area to the offices, a seating area for the café, raised planted areas and an area accessible to all.
Outcome
The project involved significant construction input from the in-house team and the management of several sub-contractors. The completed area is clean and vibrant with a pleasing aesthetic, transforming it into an inclusive and usable space.

T he contract was carried out on behalf of Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust after a competitive tendering process with three other companies. As the chosen contractor Wild Service worked hard to pull together a team of contractors to deliver on the landscape architects vision. The area was completely stripped back to bare earth and reconstructed from the ground up. Whilst our in house team carried out the groundworks, fencing, seating construction, raised planting area construction and non- bonded surfacing we sub-contracted and managed partner contractors to do carry out the paving, blockwork, electrical works and steelwork.
