Our purpose is a simple one – to ensure nature’s recovery together with the people of Gloucestershire. We believe in involving our whole team in nature, giving everyone the opportunity to spend time as part of whole organisation and team days out on our reserves.
We encourage hybrid working, allowing our team to both work from home as well as encouraging regular interaction within our newly built facilities set in a country park in the centre of Gloucester.
The Senior Ecologist role is integral to the functioning of Wild Service our Ecological Consultancy. We work mostly in Gloucestershire and the surrounding area, making working away from home a rare occurrence.
You will need to be dedicated and self-motivated in a small team to undertake a wide variety of ecological surveys, consultations, research and report writing. A willingness to work flexibly and unsociable hours to meet survey requirements is essential for the role.
If you are interested in joining our friendly team, please complete the application form or send in a CV and covering letter (demonstrating how you are suitable for the role) to HR@gloucestershirewildlifetrust.co.uk.
Interviews to be held at a mutually convenient date and time. If you would like an informal discussion about the post please call Elizabeth Pimley (Head of Ecology) on 0758 6570536.
We aim to be an equal opportunity employer and are determined to ensure that no applicant or employee receives less favourable treatment.
