A new Ecologist has joined the Ecology team

We welcome Olatz Gartzia to our ecologist team at Wild Services.  After working as a professional ecological consultant for over three years, Olatz went on to conduct a research project evaluating bat species richness in the rainforests of Belize.  While working there she provided recommendations on bat conservation, habitat management and monitoring techniques to local NGOs and the Environmental Research Institute of the University of Belize.  She also assisted designing the national bat monitoring protocol.

Since the successful completion of her research project, she has joined our Ecology team and will be based in our Gloucestershire office.  Olatz will help to conduct habitat and protected species surveys and compiling, interpreting and reporting survey data.  She holds a level 2 Natural England (NE) bat survey licence, but also has experience with reptiles, water voles, great crested newts.  She a keen botanist and has a passion for environmental education.
